Although there are no direct flights to the TRNC from other countries (North Cyprus has direct air links only with Turkey), travelling to North Cyprus is no longer a problem.
Cyprus Turkish Airlines (Kibris Türk Hava Yollari), Turkish Airlines, Onur Air, Atlas Jet and Fly Air provide scheduled flights to the TRNC from all international airports worldwide via Turkey.
As mentioned above, aircraft flying to North Cyprus must touch down in Turkey. They usually make brief stops in the airports of Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara, Adana or Antalya. Usually the stopover lasts for an hour and passengers remain in the aircraft (Cyprus Turkish Airlines and Onur Air). Sometimes the airline company changes the aircraft (for example, Turkish Airlines). In this case passengers are required to wait in the transit lounge and obtain a boarding pass of their ongoing flight to Northern Cyprus.
If you are travelling from Turkey, you can choose from a number of scheduled flights from Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Adana and Antalya. Charter flights are available at weekends and on public holidays. From Turkey's main airports to North Cyprus takes sixty to ninety minutes.
Your arrival in Northern Cyprus will be into one of the two national airports of the TRNC: generally at Erçan Airport (situated near Nicosia), more rarely at Geçitkale Airport (Famagusta), as the latter is commonly used for military purposes.
To get details on timetable, prices and flight booking contact airline offices or visit their web sites. You may also contact travel agencies for more information.

North Cyprus by Sea
Ferry-boats and sea-buses connect Northern Cyprus (Kyrenia and Famagusta) with Turkey. Timetables and tickets are available from Travel Agents.
Kyrenia
There are scheduled sea-bus and ferry services from Taşuçu (a port city in Turkey, near Silifke) to Kyrenia, and back. The sea-buses operate on a daily basis – the duration of the voyage is about two and a half hours. Ferry boats between Taşuçu and Kyrenia go every week – the trip on a ferry boat takes about four hours.
Famagusta
You may also choose a ferry-boat operating three times a week between Mersin (a port city in the south of Turkey) and Famagusta to get to North Cyprus by Sea. Ferry-boats also connect Taşuçu and Famagusta, but this voyage is longer, lasting eight hours. During the summer time sea trips are organised from Alanya, Antalya and Anamür (Turkey) to Kyrenia.
There are two main companies providing sea trips between the TRNC and Turkey:
