Most household items can be bought in North Cyprus at about the same price as Europe. Most international makes and models are available (Whirlpool, Kelvinator, Candy, Philips, Pioneer, Panasonic, Siemens, Arthur Martin, Bosch, Tefal, Beko, Sony etc) Auctions are also held monthly where a vast array of items can be purchased at reasonable prices. Gardens in Northern Cyprus

Importation of seeds and plants needs a certificate of origin and freedom from disease supplied by the vendor. The goods are also liable to examination by the Department of Agriculture.

For stocking gardens, the choice of plants is wide. A large variety of trees, shrubs and flowers are available from the Government Horticultural Centre in Güzelyurt. There are Government garden centres in all the main towns in North Cyprus, but the choice is more limited. Girne (Kyrenia) now has several commercial garden centres and small shops selling garden plants and pots.
