Births, Deaths and Marriages in North Cyprus

Births: the local North Cyprus hospitals are adequate, private clinics are also available and qualified gynaecologists are in attendance at both. The birth may be registered through the British High Commission.

Deaths: the Anglican Chaplain can advise on exact procedure and should be informed when a death is imminent or occurs. A death certificate must be obtained from the doctor and countersigned by the Muhtar. If a U.K. death certificate is necessary, contact the British High Commission.

Marriage: must be legalised through the local Northern Cyprus registrar. Blessings may be arranged at St Andrews Church.
