Pia Christensen Ozada: D&B Partner and Emerging Markets Director

Pia Hi, hi,

I am the ' Herdy Gerdy' of this company, or so I am told. I joined Donaghy & Beyler Estate Agency in 2007 after a chance meeting with our lovely Hayat in the famous Korenium Golf Club in Esentepe, and it was all fun and games from there on. I was actually born and raised in Denmark, got a BA in International Business and Languages and was head-hunted to New York at the age of 23. There I worked in the exciting fashion eyeglass industry for many years and went to NYU University at night and added Turkish to my resume.( yeah, I can say ' I love you' in many languages!)

In 2003 I took the New York Real Estate License and joined Prudential Douglas Elliman Property Agents and had some pretty amazing years in the million-dollar Manhattan real estate industry. In 2006 we made a life change and moved to North Cyprus to a stress free and more low key life style. North Cyprus is a lovely place to live and the absolute opposite of life in Manhattan ( I admit, I do miss the fancy parties sometimes, but then again a doner kebab on the corner is not so bad either! )

My role within the company as a Partner and Director of Emerging Markets is to attract overseas investors to Northern Cyprus, customize investment portfolios to countries like Sweden, Norway, Germany, Russia, Italy and Iran and to make sure all their requirements are being met. Our goal is to make the customer feel completely at home and make sure they enjoy the whole experience of buying here, whether it be communicating in their native language, liase with the lawyers or giving advice on the local restaurants and sights!

Verda Gumus: Head Office - Office Manager

Verda Gümüs, Donaghy and Beyler Estates Agents My Name is Verda Gumush; I was born and brought up in the UK. I moved to Cyprus in 1991 and have been living in this delightful country ever since. After completing my graduate studies, I began working for an International import/export organization. It was during this time that I first had dealings with Donaghy and Beyler. After 5 years I realized that I needed a new challenge and when Hayat and Steve offered me the position of Office Manager, I couldn’t refuse. Though the company is very professional, business is conducted in a friendly atmosphere and I knew that this was the right working environment. My job entails a variety of tasks including, support to the Partners, office management, translation/liaison, rentals, accounts and customer after care. Erhan Cetinli: Office Administrator

Erhan Cetinly, Donaghy and Beyler Estates Agents Hi, my name is Erhan. I moved to Northern Cyprus with my family from Bulgaria in 1997. After completing my studies and military service I applied for a job with Donaghy and Beyler. That was five years ago and I have been here ever since. Part of my job revolves around translation and helping customers to deal with local councils, the electricity office and their builders. Lindsay Hunter: Catalkoy Office - Sales Manager

Lindsay Hunter, Donaghy and Beyler Estates Agents Hello, my name is Lindsay Hunter. I was born and lived in “not so sunny Rochdale”, not so anymore! I have lived in the TRNC for two years now and love it. My partner and I purchased land from Donaghy and Beyler in 2003 and over the next two years watched this piece of dirt grow into a lovely house. During the build process Donaghy and Beyler kept us regularly informed on progress with photographs and emails. I was very impressed with the professional manner in which D&B handled my purchase and when Hayat and Steve offered me employment in 2006 I jumped at the chance. Linda Cartwright : – Girne Office/Rentals Accounts Manager,

born in Sydney, Australia, Linda has lived and worked in North Cyprus for over 10 years mainly in Property Management roles. The newest member of the D&B team and already a vital performer in managing the processes that make D&B unique in our market. A quick thinker, with bags of initiative and patience, her communication skills ensure that customers and staff alike have the clarity required. Linda is also one of the best cooks you'll ever meet. Suleyman Aktun - Technical Manager

Born in the TRNC, Suleyman is an integral member of the D&B Property Management Team; he currently oversees our operations at the sites we manage. In the early 90’s Suleyman moved to Sydney, Australia where he became the Technical and Facilities Manager of one of the top private schools in that country. Bi-lingual and multi talented, Suleyman possesses the skills and abilities to ensure that the sites D&B manage run smoothly and effortlessly. His motto ‘No Problem’.
