Best Estate Agents Golden Award
At a glittering ceremony held at the Malpas Hotel in Çatalköy last month, Donaghy & Beyler Estate Agents won the Best Sales Team Platinum Award and Best Estate Agents Golden Award at the 1st Property NC Magazine Property Awards.
The fact that Donaghy & Beyler received both of these awards is proof that the hard work and dedication they have put into the business over the years, within the highly competitive North Cyprus property arena, has been recognised.
Registered members of the Estate Agents Union since November 2007, Donaghy & Beyler have fully supported and been involved in the implementation of the new Estate Agents Law. In an industry that it is too easily put down throughout the World, Donaghy & Beyler have proved that they have succeeded in North Cyprus and with the constant training, talks by local lawyers, construction industry and general all round people skills that they already posses, they look forward to remaining the best in their field.
CEO Steve Donaghy says,” We fully applaud the steps that the government and the Estate Agents Union have taken to ensure transparency, honesty and integrity within the North Cyprus property sector. Established four years ago with offices now in Girne, Özanköy, Çatalköy and Iskele/Famagusta, Donaghy & Beyler have gone from strength to strength and are now the largest Independent Agents operating in North Cyprus. Almost 90% of business is based on referrals; the other 10% being advertising. Why a huge referral base? Simple – They listen to their customer’s requirements before recommending properties, they are honest in their workings and they offer the best after sales service on the Island.

Hasan Sungur, President of the Estate Agents Union said: “It is quite apparent to me as a judge that competition in the property industry should be encouraged so that we keep improving quality from year to year.”
Donaghy & Beyler are constantly renewing and revitalizing their processes and procedures and have recently introduced ‘Information Clinics’. These clinics provide details of the buying and selling process and the everyday things that you need to know when you move to a new country. These clinics are just one of the many ancillary services provided by Donaghy & Beyler that have made them stand out and will continue to do so as they grasp new opportunities and move forward.
Emerging markets is another area that Donaghy & Beyler have excelled in. Pia Ozada is the Emerging Markets Director. Danish born, Pia has ensured the company has nurtured and established exciting partnerships within the Nordic countries and the Middle East. While it is mainly UK citizens that have in the past purchased property in North Cyprus, this is all changing. North Cyprus is being discovered by other nationalities and these new customers are bringing with them new ideas and requirements and it is Donaghy & Beyler that are at the forefront of this exciting and innovative expansion within the property market. Whilst the majority of properties in these markets are at present being purchased as holiday homes, there are some people that are moving permanently and regenerating a belief that this country has a prosperous future.
